IT Home, February 17th – Microsoft recently released a press release announcing the launch of the Sticky Notes application in a preview version of the OneNote app, inviting Microsoft 365 Insider users to test it.

Microsoft stated that this is only the first stage of testing Sticky Notes, and in the future, it will be separated from the OneNote application and released as a standalone application once the features are gradually improved.

Microsoft stated that users can still pin the new version of Sticky Notes application to the taskbar or use the new Win+Alt+S shortcut to launch the application.

In addition to its refreshed appearance, this application also features a convenient feature that makes it easier for users to take notes and take screenshots of web pages, applications, and documents.

Users can take screenshots of files or websites, and Sticky Notes will link screenshots, which can be returned to the source file with just one click.

Besides, Sticky Notes are still notes. You can create multiple notes, change their color, format the text inside, and synchronize them between different devices using a Microsoft account (users can access these notes on mobile devices through iOS and Android versions of OneNote).

Microsoft has currently invited users of the Microsoft 365 Insider project for Current Channel (Preview) to test a new version of the Notes app, which requires upgrading to OneNote for Windows 2402 with a version number of 17328.20000 or higher.

For more details about the Sticky Notes application, IT Home has attached a press release link for interested users to read in depth.
